As if being a dynamic, super-hero, Human Resources warrior weren’t enough of a challenge, but try doing it neurodivergent?
The term “neurodivergent” describes people whose brain differences affect how their brain works. That means they have different strengths and challenges from people whose brains don’t have those differences. The possible differences include medical disorders, learning disabilities and other conditions.
Neuro-differences are recognized and appreciated as a social category similar to differences in ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or ability. ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, and Dyslexia all fall within the spectrum of “Neurodiversity” and are all neurodiverse conditions.

Join us on November 4th for the first chat in a new series called Lisa’s Bees, hosted by Lisa Parra where she and her guests will discuss what it’s like navigating an HR career while managing a neurodivergent, hidden disability. They’ll take a DEI lens to the tools and resources HR professionals are charged with deploying when supporting nuerodivergent employees.
